The end of the year was more or less relaxed for us. The ERC Starting grant final reporting ended in October, and Katerina Sam took a sick leave for October and November.

The students managed really well to prepare the experiments for future years and established our SpiDiv plot, in which we will survey interactions between spiders, arthropods and diversity. The experiments resembles very much those of the TreeDiv networks. First, of course, we had to clear the forest plot completely.

From our team, only bachelor student Andrea Bartosova decided to submit her thesis in early December and Hevekore Maraia continue work remotely, hoping for submission by the end of the year. Kore’s paper from Africa also finally got out, and one of his other manuscripts got accepted with major changes.

By the end of the year, we were selected as Sampling team of the month for the @Lifeplan, and moved from Natural to Urban site for the very last time.
