Today marks the last day of Ecology 2024 – 9th Conference of the Czech Society for Ecology. Our laboratory was well represented by several people with great contributions.
Kryštof Korejs presented talk on Functional diversity of frugivore and insectivore assemblages along the Mount Wilhelm elevational gradient. Jan Kollross had a poster on Impact of predator exclusion and nutrient enrichment on arthropods and herbivory damage, and won a first price for the best student poster with it. Jitka Jančúchová Lásková presented a work of the bachelor student Kristýna Kalamenová Trade-off between getting prey and being prey in spiders. Tereza Vlasatá showed in a poster that we run the Lifeplan project and some data which we are getting out of it. Finally, Katka Sam presented a talk: Vertebrates, more than ants, protect the forest trees from herbivores, and they do it better in temperate then in tropical forests.
Conference was enjoyable, the scientific talks of a great quality, and the conference dinner a great fun. So in 2026 in Prague at the Faculty of Agriculture.
