Besides the usual field work going on in Papua New Guinea, we have an very active PhD student Benita Laird-Hopkins, working on butterfly communities in Panama. Despite Benita joined our lab only earlier this year, in her second year of PhD, she is catching up with the work really fast, and working tirelessly.
After having successful field season in Europe, where Inga and Irena helped her a lot, even her work in Panama is going really well so far. Benita catches many butterflies of the focal species and we hope everything will continue smoothly until we will meet her back in Czech in February.
