Because of the circumstances, and travel ban, we decided to start a little drought experiment with Ficus in Czech. Xue, our PhD student who WILL later on travel to Papua and conduct a large experiment there, will start little work in a greenhouse first. As she is still stuck in China, after she assisted our field work there, we built a greenhouse for her experiment and my office turned into a temporary house of first Ficus species.
This week we are also starting another 2 experiments – the one of Honza Kollross and of Veronika Rehova, while Marketa Tahadlova and David Diez Mendez continue their field work and (uh) Honza Lenc is due with his bachelor thesis on Friday (just saying – busy week in out lab).
